An open invitation

A week ago today, I sent out an invitation to the official launch of On Mount Hood: A Biography of Oregon’s Perilous Peak. The event, being held at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, June 9, at Powell’s Books on Hawthorne, will feature a slideshow, a reading, books, and just a little good cheer around the book and the mountain.

In that invitation, I encouraged recipients to forward it along to anyone who might be interested. With this entry, I’m doing just that, because this event is open to anyone and everyone who’s interested. Please feel free to come out, check out the book, maybe learn something new about Oregon’s greatest mountain, and hopefully just have a great time.
